Hello Anyone,

I installed Oracle 8i (8.1.6) Enterprise Edition on my PC on an NT 4.0 service pack 6 several months ago. Recently I purchased Oracle 2000. Without thinking or reading I deleted cleaned my hard drive and installed Windows 2000 fresh. As I began reading the installation documentation to re-install the 8i Enterprise I came upon the statement that 8i Enterprise Edition is not supported on Windows 2000.

My question is: does that mean 8i won't install? If this is true does this mean I have to obtain either 8.1.7 or 9i. What I don't want to do is go through a lot of effort and find I have a non-working database.

    Help! Anyone.
