Usually this means oradim80 ends in error (and BTW oradim80 does not require svrmgr30). The error messages are kept in %ORACLE_HOME%\rdbms80\oradim80.log (IIRC) If that doesn't work out you need to check alrtorcl.log in %ORACLE_HOME%\rbdms80\trace (assuming a default install)
8.0 has been desupported.
