Before you repeat your ramble about *the* standard: there is no such thing. the SQL92 standard has several levels, most vendors -including Oraclecomply  with the lowest level. Only Sybase, and it's derivatives (as you could expect Microsux didn't 'invent' Sqlserver) choose to comply to a higher level.
