Not sure if blib would work unless it s using Rman to do it. (Rman allows for a database block level backup and it has an API for backup vendors. So Veritas might be using Rman under the covers) If the Veritas BLIB is a disk block backup and does not go through rman then no I don't think it would. If it does go through Rman and does a database block backup then yes. Jim
