I checked metalink and found one hit refering to parallel DML under NT. There was no bug number or fix listed. However the write up seemed to imply that a check constraint had to be present on the underlying partitioned table. The notes also referred to the fact the sql ran with a NOPARALLEL hint.

I do not know if any of this applies to your situation. The document number is 2023303 for future reference and is dated Nov. 26, 2001.
