Far too small, I'd say. In the old days, having too big a redo log buffer
could cause its own share of problems, but 8i introduced the 1Mb marker as a
threshold for a LGWR flush, and that's therefore no longer a problem. On
the other hand, there's really no need for an absolutely huge log buffer,
either.
I've rarely seen a log buffer bigger than 5Mb. Most are around 1Mb. But 16K is just being a little *too* mean!!
