ORA-00601

Hi all,
I have a big problem.
Tonight at 23.08 my DB Alfa crashed.
This morning I usually read my alert file and I surprised when I saw the rows below :

Mon Nov 12 23:08:44 2001
found dead multi-threaded server 'S000', pid = (12, 1) PMON: terminating instance due to error 601 Instance terminated by PMON, pid = 203

Does anyone know this problem ?
Yesterday the DB was a little slow : ah, I forgot to say that my DB is a 8.1.6 SE on a Linux box.
