As Fraser is referring to, there is a bitmap at the beginning of each
datafile in a LMT that is used to manage the tablespace. You should
add 64k to the size of each datafile in an LMT to accomodate this
bitmap. Otherwise it will use an entire extent. I've worked on some
databases where the DBA got bitten by this. He create a 2g datafile
with uniform extent size of 500m and did not add 64k. The end result
was he wasted 500m of space for a 64k bitmap.
