The product you mention is called Logical Standby - concept is to use
"LogMiner Technology" to convert a redo log into SQL statements that can
then be applied to a "backup" database.
Concept sounds interesting, but unfortunately the product is currently vapour ware. It was ammounced as part of 9i, but is not (yet?)
