Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Re: latch free - cache buffers chain problem
I missed the version in the earlier post. However if this is 8.1.7 this
sounds similiar to a problem we had after upgrading to 8.1.7.1. I started
a thread on this subject around the end of August (after the 19th).
Our problem was an index root block, turns out Oracle did take it as a bug as the block was pinned many more times than it was under 8.0.6 and has produced a one off patch for us for 8.1.7.2. We have been unable to test it to this point but are scheduled to do so in the next few weeks.
It might be interesting to read that thread and see if anything is similiar.
