Calling all Resource Manager Users...

Does anybody actually use Resource Manager? Does anybody salivate at the prospect of being able to set up active session pools or undo limits per Consumer Group in 9i?

I ask because I have to teach it (ie, 9i New Features) next week, and for the life of me, I can't work out what new features are to die for, and what are yawn material.

In particular, I haven't had a Performance Tuning course yet where people got excited about Resource Manager -and that was the 8i version. So can anybody tell me how it actually changed their lives? If you can, I'm particularly interested in what run-arounds you went through before Resource Manager made life so much easier. I'm also interested in Resource Manager horror stories.
