Connection Question

Hi,

        I'm running Oracle 8i personal Edition, version 8.1.5 on Windows 98 SE. I've been through much of documentation, but I can't get it to work. I'm trying get my JAVA application running on the same machine to connect to the DB. I can't get that far since my listeners won't work. I try using the Net8 EZ config tool, but whenever I test it,it fails. Any thoughts?
