Oracle Name server

I am a PC tech, and I think by the very name, an Oracle Name Server would be
helpful.


Can anyone point me to basic document on what this is and how it is setup?
Or explain it to me?  Is it basically an oracle database itself?  Is it a
variation of the Domain Name System (DNS)?
