Beg my pardon, wasn't in my office last days. This happened with non-partitioned
tables. And the circumstances had been normal, whatever normal is :-). Could
reproduce this behaviour and opened a TAR with German support, describing the
probelm. Oracle had very little interest in dealing with this problem.
