Re: ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

Try upping the value of your semmns kernel parameter, (also mentioned in another thread here). Folks seem to be having a lot of problems with this and 8.1.7. The value stated in the documentation for Solaris X86 is wrong and is probably wrong for Solaris Sparc.

NB. Remember to reboot the computer and check the new value with sysdef ;-)
