Our site successfully migrated to 8.1.7.1 on Solaris8 some 6 weeks ago.

In the course of our testing, we did encounter some ORA-4031 problems. The causes of our troubles may not be the same as yours, but we did get recommendations from Oracle support to set the hidden initialisation parameters

"_db_handles_cached" and "_sqlexec_progression_cost" to 0

In addition, what is the value of another hidden parameter -
"_parallel_min_message_pool"?
