hi all ..

after digging up alot of places and finding messages like my database shud have crashed ... and there are problems with client server conections ... i cudnt reach to any conclusions ..

something that cud help is adding event="1041 trace name errorstack level 4" in .ora file so that it wud show the complete trace ... and i got the "end of communication channel" error within it .

so i thought to take the plunge and i installed my sqlnet client afresh after deinstalling the eralier version ..and believe me this helped. it solved me problem ..am not gettting errors anymore .. any ideas why ???
