Listener won't autostart on Solaris

Hi all. I have an Oracle 8i database server installed on my Solaris 8 box. Everything seems to run fine. The problem I am having is that I have to log in with the oracle user and start the listener manually after a reboot. Oracle itself starts up upon reboot but the listener does not. I have no idea how to get it to work. I have tried creating my own startup scripts, but that doesn't work. I thought the listener would autostart with the database server, but it does not. Can anyone help me out here?
