Oracle 8i personal edition

Hi ,

I need Oracle for testing purpose (for a generic client) but I do not seem to be able to get 8i up and running. Yes, I created a database and a table and I can access it but the *Console* is unstartable. The Oracle administrator service won't load (it ends with an exception)...

Why Do I need the administrator (I think) I want to *trace* PSQL statements that OleDB generates....
any tips?
I have W2k sp2 with 256 MB ram and NT40 sp6a. On both systems the setup will STOP at the moment that the setup configures the Net8 configuration wizard.
