You are entitled to your opinion, but Serge is right about this.

You claim "Even if some oracle person makes a **supposedly*** wrong remark against DB2, its better if IBM kept quiet. After all these are personal opinions and will not affect DB2 in anyway."

The problem is ... when false or misleading information is published in any public forum, the risk is that if it goes unchallenged, people may actually believe it. Unforunately, the quality and integrity of the product is not as important as the quality and integrity of what people believe about it and of the marketing surrounding it. Many companies and products have proven that over and over again.
