Archive Error!!! Help!!! for Oracle 7.3.4 in Solaris2.7

When I change our company's database mode from nonarchive to archive. However, when I shutdown database and startup. It showing following errors. Any thought? By the way, If the HD doesn't have enough space after I change the mode, any way to solve this problem, such as set smaller archive log file or clean those log file more frequently? Help plz.
