Many people say Quest tools are expensive, some say they are cost-justfiable. I think it is the expensive pricing that makes them more interesting. First of all, these products are meant for IT people's use, not for end-users in general, the sold volumes will be way less than products such as Microsoft Office. From this point of view, Quest tools have to be expensive or they cannot be profitable enough to support a company with 50% man force in R&D. Secondly, Oracle database is expensive per ce, this combined with its highest market share in the high-end area makes Oracle DBA's better payed than many other techies, and this is why you and me are here. So, do pay attention to these expensive products. :-)
