Being that this issue is just about a year old, I thought someone might know of
a fix for it.   Crystal Reports 7 requires at most an 8.0.5. client because of a
bug with the "silent mode" of SQL*net using any 8i client.  Although their
website sites this as an Oracle problem, the fix is to go to Crystal 8.  I'd
rather not.   Has anyone encountered this?  Is there a workaround for it?
