I moved from Intel/SCO to Sparc/Solaris 2.6 to get "largefiles".
I was a moron.

Well, not really, there were many things better about Sparc/Solaris,
but stumbling across Oracle aborts at the 9GB size made me rethink
this.

Now that I'm 2.7, with Veritas Oracle Acclerator and about 300GB
tablespaces, I STILL stick with 2000MB (NOT 2048) files.  It's a nice
warm fuzzy feeling.
