Johan & Kev,

            We too have implemented this exact solution and it works very well. It does take a little looking after but not much. You just need to be careful with any changes that you might need to make to the production database and make sure they're reflected in the scripts that do the cloning work.

To Sybrand...Why on Earth do you continually post such thoughtless muck ? You seem to delight in dismissing other people's experiences and advice out of hand oftentimes without taking the time to offer any worthwhile insight of your own. Despite your obvious knowledge of the topic you appear to have an inate talent for alienating other contributors to this newsgroup. I'd suggest that if you restricted yourself to only posting when you had something constructive to offer we'd hear from you a lot less often,
