All do it a little differently. For instance, Oracle has had PL/SQL and Triggers a long time while IBM has not always had them. However, IBM had CBO and Partitioned tablespaces from day one. Now both products have all of the above and you can go on and on. I say learn them both if you got the time. Once upon a time Informix and Sybase were on top of the world with type writer comanies.
