The Solaris Binary Release Edition of Solaris 8 for Intel includes a copy of Oracle 8.1.5 for Solaris / Intel ( Note : 8.1.* = 8i ).

Sun, or a reseller, can sell the software (comes on few Cd-Roms, includes staroffice).

In the Uk, it cost around £80.

If you install Solaris 8 ok, oracle should install Ok also - providing you read the Platform-Specific installation instructions.

I have done this on 3 separate Wintel boxes with no problems.
