Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Oracle 8 for W95 install to W98 or W2000
I have Oracle 8 (Personal) and I am about to begin a course on database intro at the University of Maryland through the internet. I thought I would be able to use the Oracle 8 on my computer (I have W98 and W2000), but after I installed Oracle on W98, when I tried to run SQL 8.0, there was a message that said that some features of the program won't work on W98, but it does not specify which. Would it be better to find the Windows 2000 version of Oracle personal? I just need enough to learn database design with Oracle, so I have to be able to create new databases and stuff, but I doubt there is much more than that.
Does anybody know how handicapped Oracle 8 for Windows 95 is on Windows 98?
