most data modeling tools can reverse engineer most databases. several that have a windows client use ODBC for transportablility. two options that come to mind are Oracle Designer and Microsoft Visio 2000. if you choose the microsoft route, be aware that to "forward engineer" (ie, to produce DDL) from any data models, the Enterprise Edition is required (ranges from $700 to $1,000).
