 "PC's" these days can have more memory, disk and cpu's than the mainframes I worked on a few years ago. Quite a few enterprises rely on NT on "a pc" for core systems. Most enterprises have a mix of IBM mainframe, Tandem mainframe, Unix and NT systems, all running core systems.
