Installing Oracle 8i on Solaris 8 Intel Platform

I am planning to setup an Oracle 8i database on a Solaris 8 Intel Platform
machine but am not actually sure if this will work since the install
guide/documentation of Oracle says Oracle 8i requires Solaris 2.6 or 7 SPARC
platorm.



Has anybody got Oracle 8.1.7 working on Solaris 8 Intel platform?
