Hi Mike,
While I have no experience with data mining, I have discovered that what Oracle claims (in its marketing literature) and what it delivers, are two different things.

They claim that the Oracle 9i application server boasts an EJB server that supports entity beans, but the release notes say that it only supports session beans - thus making it no different than the 8i EJB server.

Just a word of caution to you.
