Yes. And I expected this. It has subsided once I passed 21 days. If I see a flurry of activity on the db and lots of redo being generated, then I expect to see this again, but it should not be the norm.

Fortunately, it was on a Unix file system (no raw) so I didn't have to put up with the headache. Otherwise, I may have been leery to attempt the test on that system.
