Setting the init.ora parameter for timed statistics to true has had no
noticable effect on any of our systems. Whatever effect it is having
is unimportant compared to the value of the statistics in tuning so if
you have a tuning problem do not hesitate to use them. If you do not
have a tuning problem, I would still try running with statistics on.
