ORA-12638 credential retrieval error

We are migrating from NT to Win2000. Whereas Oracle 8.1.5 works fine under NT (and so does 8.1.6), it is not installabe under Windows 2000 Server.

After copying all Files to disk, the error orccured in the process of creating the test database (or any other DB).

The answer form technet.oracle is just a joke, it says in one sentence that oracle failed to retrieve the credentials ) :-O

But where from ? The installation was done as local Administrator on the computer in a Domain environment.
