The actual Oracle training is very expensive. For this kind of money, you could get yourself a Linux box, download or order Oracle on CD (free if you download off of technet.oracle.com; CD is cheap) and install it. A good book to start from is DBA 101 from Oracle press.

Small Sparc Solaris boxes can be bought cheap now-a-days also. You can order Solaris for Intel from www.sun.com for $80 and it comes with the Oracle CD.
