After you install, if you are running Win2K w/ SP1, the DB's won't start automatically after a reboot. This is true with both 8.1.6 and 8.1.7.... If you go back to the unpatched (and unsecure and buggy!) original version of Win2K, the DB's will start just fine.

As long as you don't mind starting the DB's manually, even though the Services control panel applet says they are already 'Started', everything is fine :>)
