Recovery Manager 8.1.7 on Linux RH2...

...cannot start: just hangs at the shell prompt (ps indicates that rman is
not running). I relinked rman and it went through with no errors but it
wasn't helpful. The 8.1.7 server itself is doing good.



Any idea?
