EBU - Please advise...

Ok, so I have to configure and run EBU for an Oracle 734 database on unix. I think the EBU version is 2.2. I'm working on a Sun Solaris 2.8 machine.

Metalink tells me;

"Before installing EBU, you must install the Certified Version of the Media Management Vendor Software (third-party backup utility software) first. Make sure it has a backup library ("libobk.a", "libobk.so" or "libobk.sl"). This is required during the installation of EBU."

Firstly I need to know is there any media management software available freely that fits the bill above (if not what the best commercial choice ?). Secondly if EBU is already installed in the absence of the media management layer will I have to re-install when I eventually get that.
