instalation of 8.1.7 on solaris 7

I have a sun ultra sparc vth 128 meg ram and 8 gig hard drive running solaris 7
i partitioned it vth

             root 3 gig
             swap 1 gig
             dbase 3 gig
             usr 1gig
             var the rest

for shared memory realm and semaphores i slected the mi8nimun required settings the oracle sujested in the instalation gude but i still having problem
starting database instance i could run sqlplus,svrmgrl but i canot connect to
the database it says shared memory realm does not exist, oracle not avilable and i could not connect or mount a database

i could connect to internal tahst all

I feel that my kernel settings are not correect for my sparc ..is there is way to
figure out how much do i need and how do i set it plzz help if u ahve any idea
can u give me settings required for the above machine .i oly use this for oracle
