There are a couple of other commercial tools, which do much the same as log miner, and there is a command something like:

alter system dump logfile ...

which gives a fairly raw symbolic dump of a logfile with options for picking objects, times, etc. Look at the Backup and Recovery handbook by Rama Velpuri for more details.
