I have a home PC I use both as a little Samba server, plus to learn and practice Linux and Oracle 8i.

It has 384 MB RAM, a dual Celeron 400MH processor, one IDE disk of approx 10 GB (the boot disk), and two SCSI disks of 9 GB.

The version of Linux is Suse 7.0; I use the SMP-compatible version of the kernel.

Could anybody give me a hint on how I should partition those disks to get the best performances of Oracle 8i and WebDB ?

Many thanks. Received on Sun Dec 03 2000 - 12:51:23 CST
