Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Upgrade from 8.0.6 to 8.1.6
Recently, we are planning if our database can be upgraded to 8.1.6. As in previous message, we know that there was a bug in previous version (before 8.1.6) that the header of datafiles may be corrupted and not detected in Oracle 8 or 7. When upgrading to 8.1.6, problem will be raised out.
Could anyone suggest how we could test if this error already exists in our database? More, if we proceed to upgrade to 8.1.6 and the database started normally. Does that mean the database hasn't the problem and can be brought into production?
Also, are there any official or unofficial document/report in the internet that we can reference?
