Bzzzt.

Few databases out there could have been better designed for SMP. Where did you get this 4 number? I have seen it melting 32 processors quite easily, with enormous throughput.
What you probably mean is NUMA-Q architectures. That is getting fixed. Slowly, but it is. Then again, very few other databases in the market run well on NUMA stuff either.
