  1. shut down production ;o) heh heh
  2. backup production data files then back them up again
  3. blow away production data files
  4. restore from last (or desired ) production backup
  5. bring db up and do full export
  6. take db down, blow away files, restore from backup in 2
  7. refresh dev/test using the export
  8. convince management that you need a separate box for the dev/test stuff
