A few remarks:

1 You should *ALWAYS* include the platform and version you are using. 2 In Oracle you don't create databases like you do in sqlserver and sybase. You create different schemas instead 3 Prior to Oracle 8i you need servermanager to create a database on Unix, and the Instance Manager on NT. In Oracle 8i you can use the database assistant for this purpose.
4 This and your other post betray you'r not really an avid manual reader. You really should do so, at least the Getting Started Manual, which describes issues like this one, and the Oracle Concepts Manual. Otherwise you will become a real bore for the newsgroup.
