Hi all,



I've got a notebook with NT and 8i (8.1.6), and all works fine while
I'm hooked up to the LAN at work.  The moment I go off the network, I
can no longer make connections to Oracle (remember, this is all
happening on one machine).



I thought "Mmm, must need an IPC definition" so I set one up for the
listener and tnsnames.ora, but it still doesn't work.



Any ideas?
