It would seem then that it's not just me. It appears Oracle is aware of the problem and isn't in any hurry to fix it. I guess the answer is just to not use MTS.
The comment about moving to Unix suggests that perhaps Oracle sees this as the real solution and so they're not too interested in pursuing this?
