390 would be an old mainframe, but I still consider Unix as a midrange O/S.

Now you are going to tell me you can cluster, and get more FLOPs from this-or-that cluster, that by-the-way! did run Unix, that the fastest mainframe.

Then the poster would only benefit from that decision. Still wonder why internationals opt for Oracle on mainframe then, right alongside their Unix boxes. Ahold did.
