Oracle server hangs up

Hello,

Please help me in following situation:
Oralce 8.1.5, Windows 2000, Small-size database has 8 connections, While all users work well with some delays, the server is loaded on 100% by oracle.exe process.
oracle has no additional connection except that 8 and there is no users who waits for query results.
Only restart of SID service can help, "shutdown immediate" does not work. Please give me an advice - where to find the source of this problem? How to determine the sick thread ?
